Dolfinarium

Immerse yourself in the underwater world of the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk and meet the dolphins, walruses, sea lions, sharks and rays. And how about the seals and porpoises? So many unique sea (mammal) animals together, wow! You won't find that anywhere else in the Netherlands. 

Animal welfare is top priority. The caretakers are passionately available to the animals 24/7. They are heavily engaged in enrichment and teaching and maintaining behaviors to stimulate the animals both mentally and physically.

The Dolfinarium also pays a lot of attention to research and we are constantly looking for ways to transfer their knowledge to our visitors.

With as many as 8 different educational animal shows at the park, Dolfinarium aims to inspire people to make conscious choices that protect marine life. In the dolphin show Oceanica, for example, you will learn all about dolphins: their autonomy, their behavior, threats and what you yourself can do to help protect them.  Or take a seat in the lecterns and be transported to the west coast of the United States, where the California sea lion lives. In the Sea Lion College, California sea lions demonstrate how their kind survive in the wild.
